New Toy

No comments November 19th, 2007 Edgar Durão No comments

I have already had posted some things taken with the new toy but decided to post it one directly.

Aa'm talking about my new mobile / photo machine that given the brilliant idea of lower prices in tmn took the time to acquire.

With a 3.2 MP camera in this toy is excellent: in photo, construction, usability. Since I started using my K310i which I had given a year ago I started to love Sony Ericsson. However the P800 I had in the past does not satisfy me much.

To bridge the saying which, nothing like a 2GB card from Sandisk. Pena is the price, these cards MemoryStick Micro M2 are very expensive. SanDisk and E are not the same Sont, because these do not even talk.

Asterisk - The Inbound problem

No comments November 18th, 2007 Edgar Durão No comments

As the post yesterday (and since this is a blog, will serve just to put some things here that do) I used yesterday for the first time I had Asterisk installed.

Used for simplicity Asterisk now, which is an open source appliance, this is a customized Linux system containing the Asterisk, the Asterisk GUI and another set of software for Asterisk.

To work with it resorted to as a softphone to have no IP phone and it worked perfectly.

Users create, test everything ok. Next step was a addicionar SP, in this case VoIPTalk that allowed me to receive the call on Inbound and Outbound do.

Of course before this work we want to set the rules for Inbound or Outbound from the. The truth is that after creating a queue service, or "Call Qeue" in English I stop getting calls. I do not know why but I think something is mixed up here.

Demos for it when I tried to create an IVR for Luis to call me, but the calls come here is a lie. I do not know what goes muto honestly, until I get the idea that it is the SP that does not get here calls since the service console is registered, usually when they call info appears on the console of the call being established, and not here.

Weird stuff ...

Nexts Steps to work this out with IVR, CTI and test the system.

AsteriskNOW

No comments November 18th, 2007 Edgar Durão No comments

Today I started doing some experiments with the asterisk now.

It's all managed through the browser, which for the time being I can do the same for outbound Luis Forte through a configuration of a SIP Provider, in which case the VoIPTalk where is Luis. These facilities can also be extended using the IAX to connect with other asterisk.

With a simple softphone, the SJPhone , I managed to make some successful tests.

The first difference I find is in terms of structure, of which I am accustomed to structures Pilot - Queued - Group Processing Plant Alcatel just have to create this "Call queues." Philosophy seems practical, and to be the only agent in the queue and if I call them on hold.

I'll still try to make a small IVR to meet Luis, and sleep:)

Below the web console setup asterisk with the active channels. Today an IVR, CTI tomorrow, then who knows :)

Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop 700 - BUG

No comments November 17th, 2007 Edgar Durão No comments

At times I did an exchange with the Francisco - a wireless teclaro a AGP graphics - and has recently been having to use the wireless keyboard to minimize the (un) storage space on your desk, I began to use it.

At first not used as a key to have a problem, however since I started using it, there was a day that I considered to be somewhat confusing, but eventually discover a beautiful mistake. ...

Usually write without looking at the keyboard, of course there are however some keys that are less common and sometimes there is so instinctive resort to looking at the keyboard. Well, that was detected while I tried to write "'" and carried the key on hand, "leading me to discover', and I ended up getting confusing.

The reason? Well ...

keybpo.JPG

As you can see, in the key 'is replaced with'.

I do not like pointing fingers, but boy is this: Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop 700

A picture on the box is not the back, so not an actual product sample, in which case the layout, but it seems those keyboards or get rid of the bugs from microsoft.

And for those who think "ah he switched (rotated) and hold" by turning the key would be exactly the same.

That would be interesting to expose Microsoft, maybe they do get an email ...

For some time now that we have been promising, but the truth is that both I and Louis seem to suffer the same problem: lack of time.

Already be a few days I've been trying to write something about this, but I admit that the problems here in the new home has prevented that.
Now they are already solved, since now I can put pictures here's.
The LimeSurvey seems to be a great open source application that lets you make those questionnaires online very simply and quickly. Tired of codar a simple PHP script to do a survey? Well this application seems able to handle it.
The best test a little later.

The site is in http://www.limesurvey.org/
